This World War I nurse themed photography session was one of my favorite historical concepts to create in Jacksonville. I photographed the session at the boat museum in downtown Jacksonville, using the historic setting to help create an atmosphere that felt connected to the World War I era.

I planned the styling for the shoot myself, including creating a simple paper nurse armband with the traditional cross symbol to complete the look. I wanted the details of the costume and location to work together rather than simply putting a modern model into a historical outfit.

The museum setting gave us a unique backdrop for the portraits, and I focused on creating images that felt like they could have come from another time. This Jacksonville historical photography session combined creative styling, storytelling, and portrait photography to bring the WWI nurse concept to life.
