This family session at Treaty Oak Park was especially meaningful because the mother had been following my photography work for a while and finally decided to book me for family photos. I chose Treaty Oak Park in Jacksonville because of its beautiful, massive Treaty Oak tree, which gave us an incredible natural backdrop for the session.
Her daughter brought plenty of energy to the shoot, so instead of trying to force her to sit still for every photo, we worked with her personality and let the session be more natural. We also incorporated some photos of her favorite dolls, which helped keep her engaged and gave us some really fun and genuine moments to capture.
I loved how this Jacksonville family photography session came together. The combination of the huge oak tree, the natural setting, and the family's personalities made the photos feel personal and authentic rather than overly posed.
