This fae couple photography session was built around a story of a knight who wandered into the realm of the fae, only to be tricked by one of them and ultimately fall in love. I wanted the session to feel like a scene from a fantasy story rather than a traditional couples photoshoot, with the characters and their relationship unfolding through the images.
We created the session around the contrast between the knight and the fae, using the setting, costumes, and posing to tell the story of how they first encountered each other. The goal was to capture that feeling of being drawn into a magical world where things aren't always what they seem.
I love creating themed couple photography like this because the photos can become more than portraits. They can tell an actual story. This fae photography session gave us the opportunity to combine fantasy styling, creative direction, and storytelling to create something that feels like a moment pulled from a fantasy novel.
